An additional problem has emerged: Opening some files on the SD card
causes total system crash. In one instance the laptop was left hanging

While the repro steps shows how to trigger the bug in totem, note that
this bug is actually in the tooltop library of GTK or whatever because
I've seen the same thing happen with tooltips in open office for
instance.
