I think it should just have the necessary option, like: changing the
background, login as, login after ... minutes, login automatically, and
that should be it, not to much because it becomes in a low performance
tool, things should just have what is necessary to have, I would not

i got two more things two say:
1. jerrylamos, the intel driver were not working good in hardy, because i could
not change my screen resolution in a CRT monitor, i should say that this issue
about changing screen resolution has being fixed in intrepid but the only
problem i have now, it is this:
canonical, please! fix this issue as fast as possible...

i have:
Ubuntu 8.10 32bit
Totem 2.24.3-0ubuntu
but for me, it is completely different, and this is not just for totem but for
firefox and every program that comes with ubuntu by default

the behavior I actually encountered (in as much detail as possible):
When I quit the application using the close button at the top right, it
takes too long to close, that i get "force quit" message.

yes, it happens to me when it is just one file, for example when i
extract an ".avi" file, for example this one:

download it and try to extract it, (with "extract here" right click
option) and see what happen...
