Same problem here, happened version 1.9.14-17, 1.8.4 and yelp must cause
the problem.
Many users in Chinese Ubuntu Forum confirmd high CPU usage and slow
startup problem around yelp.

Nautilus have black band when navigate to the rest of the folder only if
background picture larger than the display area.
It seems like Nautilus just render once, but ignore other part of the picture
loaded in cache.

Binary package hint: gnome-utils
gnome-dictionary won't use dictd at localhost, otherwise, the strategies
also won't work. I hope this problem is separate for me due to it
