Totally my fault! Now I remember, when I first installed 16.04 I removed
it as it was chewing up CPU time and battery and it was not clear to me
for what it is needed. Now I know what I need it for! Sorry to have

Same problem as everyone else, but noticed a strange thing on doing a
"ps -x".
As shown in the attachement, esd and some evolution programs are running
too.
I'm using a fully updated Kubuntu Dapper and never started evolution on
my own will, so I fell that very strange...

Just to add that I never had noticed this before, except today, after
installing eclipse (from the eclipse site and installed in my home
directory) and "toying" around with it some time.
After closing it (and the CPU settled down because I don't have enough
memory nor CPU for eclipse) that's when
grrr... forgot the gamin_debug file...
It's >3MB uncompressed in just a few seconds, so hope it helps...

Keyboard layout changing randomly in 13.
For me it also happens randomly during the session, even after re-
setting keyboard layout many times. Alt-tabbing Skype with with, let's
say, Firefox is sure it will happen.

This issue is known upstream and is ticketed here:

In the meantime, a workaround is this: whenever you switch your library,
wipe out your ~/.cache/shotwell directory. This will cause Shotwell to
generate new thumbnails appropriate for the current library.

this problem in Shotwell 0.13.x. But rest assured: RAW file handling is
a top priority for the upcoming Shotwell 0.14.
