I don't mean to be obtuse, but I use this computer for work, and really
the only short-cut key I use is the print screen and alt-print screen.
There is no music (or for all I know, a music player) on the system.
There is not even a printer attached to this system.

I applied the patch and got mixed results.
Some launches opened in the correct screen while other did not.
Example Firefox open in the correct screen while System/Shutdown… does
not.
I am using Ubuntu 8.10 amd64.

When trying to replace the missing geyes_applets on the panels, I get
multiple messages "delete" or "not delete", and the "reload" or "not
reload". After selecting "not delete" and "reload" for all, the applets
do not appear.

system settings/sound do not configure alsa mixer properly

New clean install of 11.10 x86 Desktop.
No sound with Audigy 2 ZS sound card after install.
Setting the proper configuration using System Setting / Sound did not
properly enable sound on system.
Installed gnome-alsamixer but it would not launch.
