Same problem here. I can add that this problem exists in my installation
indeed before to upgrade to 14.04.

Public bug reported:
After upgrading to ubuntu 14.04 from 13.10 no display appears at start
I ran recover mode from grub
Now Desktop appears but report errors
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04
Package: gnome-settings-daemon-schemas (not installed)
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.1
I am affected by the problem on 14.04. The "export" menu entry seems
available for my OpenSSH key, but it is greyed out when I select a
password keyring. I want to export my passwords to Keepass2, so I could
synchronize with my Android smartphone.
Should this bug be filed upstream? In that case
Yes , it works for me too. I can't open any pdf document, and now is
working perfectly.

I hope this will be solve by Karmic, there are many evidence that in Colombia
AM/PM is the standard time notation.
I would add this page to the ones already in this report:
http://www.presidencia.gov.co/
Is the page for the government of Colombia.
I also add the patch for Colombia locales.
**
Oh this is sad, I thought it was going to be solved for Karmic, we would
have to still doing it manually and searching in google for a solution,
uhhmm, ok no way.
But I think reading the hole tread that also effect's the following
country's:
Colombia
Puerto Rico
El Salvador
Nicaragua
Costa Rica
