This still happens to me sometimes in Ubuntu 11.04 on a Dell Vostro V13.
I have my laptop lid close event set to Suspend, and when I manually
choose to Hibernate and quickly shut the lid, sometimes it only goes
into Suspend. I only find this out later, usually after the battery has

I've seen this issue now on 2 different machines that I have upgraded to
11.04. After initially logging in to my account in "Ubuntu classic",

I did some testing of things and found that this was being caused by the
"desklets" I had starting up. I stopped the daemon for that and now
nautilus works without issue.

Ok, the repro scenario is really easy: I started from the command line
as you describe ("f-spot --debug &> fspot-log.txt"). Then click the
File menu, then select Quit. It dies with a segv. The fspot-log.txt

Sorry for pushing on this yet again, but since using the LEGACY setting
does not resolve the issue, could the real bug possibly be that Online
Accounts are not respecting that setting (which would be a big deal)?

Close the bug, I can't reproduce it anymore. Seriously, it was doing it,
but that may have been on the initial beta (without updates).

I'd like to suggest that you don't fix it by moving the dot but by
replacing the dot with a treatment of the text (bold, underline,
italics, color) because that fix would never break due to resolution.
