I can confirm this. I have an IBM NetVista desktop and pretty much all
gnome-apps are having this issue now, such as firefox, gnome-theme-
manager, gnome-backgound-properties, etc.. Seems like as long as an app
is based on gtk, it crashes.

I will check if I have libgtk2.0-0-dbg installed nor not, if not, I will
get it installed. Should I run backtrace again after I get that pkg
installed or is there any other actions I need to take?

the segmentation fault, I lost control of everything. I can only move
mouse, but no window can be selected, I can not type on the command
anymore. I have to recycle X to get control back. So I can only perform
backtrace step 1-

which is to launch a gdb on console1 and try to attach the gaim pid opened

Yesterday I upgraded gaim to 2.0.0+beta5 and the problem has just gone
away. No segfault on exit anymore. Thanks all for helping out and happy
