After opening couple dozen pdf files one after another (closing previous
before) a random pdf caused the whole system to freeze, totally. Had to
force shutdown from the power button, losing all my work. After boot the
same document opens fine. The unpredictability of which pdf

sticky notes not hiding on startup

What's the point of just closing bugs without assigning them to someone or
fixing them? Bugs and problems go away as users go away from Ubuntu?
The bug is still there in Ubuntu 10.10 (Sticky Notes 2.30.0). And because of
Unity that will be the last usable Ubuntu for many for a long time
no OSD on volume events (up, down, un/mute) on Thinkpad X61S. otherwise
volume buttons function as expected.
