I see that bug #31699 is fixed.
The fix was installed on my PC and I rebooted.
Before this fix, I was not able to change my default sound card (the
change was not saved). Now, this seem to be saved correctly, but it
doesn't work as it should.

After a reboot, it works.. but..
After some testing (changing defautl sound card, using differents
software), this stop to work and nothing work again. If I logout and I

gst-register-0.8 is working, but

I see a similar problem with incorrect partition information in gnome-
disk-utility. I am not sure if it's exactly the same as the OP's issue

Verified that oneiric and precise packages can be built from source
inside a pbuilder chroot. Also verified 2 finger scrolling and 2 finger
tap works.

The problem seems to have sorted itself. When I went to it today the
navigation was visible whereas yesterday it had disappeared!

I am using Jaunty with all updates applied. I cannot play DVDs; when
trying to do so in Totem I get the message "Could not open location; you
might not have permission to open the file.". The following appears in

Sorry, Ubuntu version was 8.04, using default Gnome. Yes, smbclient
itself worked, else I'd have filed this on either smbclient or samba...
