Sometimes I have the same problem, however, its not with hibernating.
the last time it happened I left the computer with screen locked over night.

I have the same problem.
When i tried to get a backtrace i was faced to the following problem:
gdb f-spot 2>&1 | tee gdb-f-spot.txt
did not work, since: "/usr/bin/f-spot": not in executable format: File
format not recognized
gdb mono /usr/lib/f-spot/f-spot.exe 2>&1 | tee gdb-f-spot.txt
did n
The recent updates on mono seems to have solved the problem for me.
