I was using New Wave (German: Neue Welle). Using Human Clear Looks solves the problem: F-Spot comes up without any errors. After this the themes Dust-Sand, Dust and Human work, too. Summary: After starting F-Spot once using Human Clear Looks one can switch back to New Wave (or any other theme) w
