I can confirm this as well.
Running Ubuntu 11.04 with Nvidia graphics and there is no shadow when I right
click at the desktop.
Seems to work in Chrome and Firefox, but not Nautilus for example.
Also tried the suggested configureations from ubuntuforums, without any

I have the same problem on my Acer Aspire One (9" netbook). It has a
screen resolution of 1024x600. And the game window is higher than 600
px. I have tried the game in both Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10-beta.
The work around is using alt-click to move the window up and down as
needed.

The key combination Ctrl-] is not working in gnome-terminal. Pressing
this combination results in nothing (when trying to lookup a tag in Vim
for example).
This was not a problem in Gutsy.

Seems have something to do with my Swedish keyboard, which I normally use
with a U.S. keyboard layout.
I've narrowed down the problem down to a call to
vte_translate_national_ctrlkeys() from vte_terminal_key_press(). This
function was added to solve Gnome bug

Accessing (open and save) files thru the Gnome VFS-system works fine
with "real" Gnome applications, but not with OpenOffice. (When

Why is this low? Its a showstopper for Ubuntu-installations that uses an
Ubuntu-server instead of Microsoft-servers and VPN. Using gvfs are a
competetive solution if we could rely on it.

This is how the problem are triggered:
Context: Standard Ubuntu 8.04 (with Gnome) installed on the Client (with
OpenOffice and ubuntu-desktop installed), Ubuntu 6.06 or greater
installed in the server with openssh-server installed
1) On the client, connect a directory to the client from the serve
"alfred_nutile: I have to now show people things like Freenx or setup vpn so
people can work off site easily.
Where as before I was able to say ssh (secure one port) and you have remote
access. Now ssh and ftp are useless to work from with Openoffice and Nautilus."
