same problem here.
i first through it may be an acpi problem, because when i add "acpi=off" in
grub, the brightness worked
after some search i found out that the keys were not mapped, so i did a
setkeycodes e008 225
setkeycodes e009 224
in console (CTRL+ F1-F6) it work normaly
but in graphical m
maybe this can help you guys, at least i hope so :
i killed gnome-power-manager and run it this way
gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose
i pressed the decrease button ONCE and then the increase button ONCE (because
the brightness was at 0%)
then i switch to console and back in graphic mode (b

after reading your message i edited my /etc/default/apport file, where enabled
was 0.
So i edit it to 1
then i run /etc/init.d/apport start
and make evince crash again...
but after the crash, the /var/crasj directory is still empty, and there was no
detection of the
i just test to run evince with sudo, and guess what : no bug :(
