I tried kubuntu FL7 on my laptop, a panasonic centrino 1.4 with intel 2100
wireless, it hangs just after logging into the desktop in live mode, from then
i can move the mouse but can't do anything more than that, can't click, can't
even reboot, ctrl-alt-canc has no effect.

anyway, makes checksum even it has been disabled in gconf, gives out wrong dvd
speeds (1-3-5-7) and once burn is finished it dies telling it can't eject the

Hello
i tried to obtain a backtrace but i was totally unable to, however, nautilus
crashed only 3 times more..
i started to think something odd happened to my ubuntu install, because even
alacarte isn't working 100% good..
now, i know what to do, when nautilus crashes i issue:

starting it by terminal results only a hang terminal
on another machine instead no problems..
i-ve been not able to solve the problem even by deleting .gconf.

the error i get is this:
ekiga: error while loading shared libraries: libpt.so.1.10.3: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
when using the ekiga 2.0.3 from ubuntu repo, when using the 2.0.9 packaged
on ekiga website it doesn't give any error message, just hangs there.

i found out that freeze is more likely to happen when logging out, when
shutdown and reboot i get a gnome crash notice and it does usually work.

sorry i will file a new bug report for gnome crash
u are right seems the problem of shutdown is fixed, the system no longer
freezes, just gnome crashes.

didn't have it so left somewhere.
