focus but there is no window (I have just logged in).

I use Evolution 2.24.1 and Ubuntu 8.10
when I click to calendars evolution crashs
actually the unique method I found to access my calendars is to Gnome
calendar, select a date with an appointment then click edit

as you can see in top of this screenshot:
just after open a new session, there is no specific icon for window selctor
(the icon is the non existing icon)
just passing to another workspace and without opening any new
