gnome-panel and nautilus 1:2.29.92.1-0ubuntu3 are fixed and on
archive.ubuntu.com. Upgrading to those will restore desktop
functionality.
To temporarily recover from a blank desktop so you can run the upgrade,
press Ctrl+Alt+T to start a terminal, and run 'gnome-panel'.

I have two gdm-recognised users on my system: wgrant and buildd. If I
tell indicator-session to switch from wgrant to buildd, it brings up gdm
with only that buildd shown, and asks for a password. I can find no way
to escape from this if I do not know

Seahorse doesn't warn users to revoke their keys before deleting them.
It probably should, since a user may push to the key server, realise
they made a mistake generating their key, delete it, and generate
another, leaving the original key unrevo
