Also affects me -- this is particular troublesome bug for new people
(ubuntus target demographic) since Chrome, a popular browser with
syncing abilities, can only be installed via a work around.

Experiencing same issue as above. Seemingly out of no where all
keyboard shortcuts have ceased to work. The isssue only occurs in GIMP,
and not other apps or OS shortcuts.
Log shows following errors that may or may not be applicable:
script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error,
asked to register item

can you come in back door and fix this problem?
