When installing sound-juicer, a menu item is not added to applications>
Sound&Video. That should happen.
I tested on up-to-date but customized Intrepid (my workstation) and on a
freshly installed Intrepid in Virtualbox - the icon is added i
I think it is specific to sound-juicer. I have installed many other apps and I
think they are all in the menus.
The icon is not listed after a restart. The .desktop file is installed but
there is nothing about soundjuicer in .config/menus/applications.menu.

This is similar from the dash (rhythmbox open - dash plays a file,
otherwise it just opens rhythmbox). It seems rhythmbox-client is called
and it spawns rhythmbox but it does not wait enough to pass the file to

in trunk subtitleeditor. Meanwhile, the patch is attached to this comment.
Change directory to the root directory of subtitleeditor source and apply with

I am confirming this on an up-to-date Natty.
I have ecryptfs installed and I have encrypted just one directory. I use
autologin and so the encrypted directory is not mounted on login and I
have to mount the encrypted directory manually and so it often happens
that it is not mounted when I suspend.
BTW: it seems autologin with encryptfs can also lead to gnome unlocking
screen hanging for a long time as per bug 515155 )

I have never had Tangerine installed and have suffered from this bug, so
I think this maybe should be reported as a bug in tangerine (for
reporting something wrong to gnome-session or whatever).

I changed the title and description so that it is clearer what the bug
is actually about. I hope it is clearer, if it is not, feel free to
improve on it. Also added gnome-control-center, because it contains
gnome-keyboard-properties that are the gui for removing and adding
keyboard layouts. I am no
I shuld think first and act later gnome-keyboard-properties has nothing
to do with this, it instead seems that editing gconf key
/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd/layouts in sessions is not
respected (if this editing contains removing the default layout).

I am not sure whether it was mentioned but trackpad and a external
bluetooth mouse work fine after the touchpad freezes. Does it work for
other the same. I.e. touchpad freezes and mouse/trackpad continous to

Look up for a .desktop file corresponding to the autolaunched command?
If I start empathy on startup, the program would look for empathy.desktop ( on
my system /usr/share/applications/empathy.desktop ), which hopefully specifies
an icon - and indded it does
