I would give this bug the boot. I don't think anyone is experiencing it
anymore.
I do have one question though - just because a bug is fixed in Intrepid,
that shouldn't affect the status of a bug reported for Hardy -
especially since it is an LTS. I had reported a previous bug - reboot

Strangely, I think this may actually be related to Parallels. I just
realized that this seems to happen shortly after opening Parallels. It
is pretty unstable on Hardy, and I think whatever corruption it is
causing is manifesting this way. I would forget this bug. I do not think
it is really relate

Previously I reported this as possibly being due to Parallels, but now I
think not. Without running Parallels, after a while gnome-panel starting
eating 100% cpu and all the ram. I have attached a screenshot of top

As much as I tried, I have not found a way to reproduce this bug. It
just happens once in a while. One time, the CPU didn't hit 100%, the
panels just stopped working and gnome-panel wasn't even running. I would
just chalk this up as a fleeting situation unless others report it also.

I know the solution (I fixed it immediately on my box), I was just
mentioning it as a bug because it would scare the bejeesus out of a new
user. If it is no longer a bug in the install, it is no longer a problem
(although, from what I read above, it may still exist in Ubuntu Hardy
release) and can
