hey no problem, i figured it out. I did following.. dunno which step(s) did it 1. sudo chmod 777 /etc/gdm/gdm.conf 2. sudo chmod 777 /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom 3. tried to save gdm setings from login window - no luck yet 4. then I opened gdm.conf-custom in gedit and wrote some random chars and saved
