reported as the disk size (with 40GB taken from somewhere, I don't know

I'm nearly certain that this is the same bug as GNOME bug 566831. g-p-m
didn't used to notice when power was plugged in while the computer is
asleep.

This is not a pulseaudio bug. The underlying issue is that gnome-
session does not run the shutdown scripts in /usr/share/gnome/shutdown.
gnome-session-canberra puts a script in that directory that plays the
logout sound. It just never gets run.

I tested silo 26 + libqt5network5 from Tony's PPA and did my normal
routine of walking out of range of my home network.
It seems much better. dbus-daemon CPU usage is down (only ~30% for a
few seconds after initial switch to 3G and ~15% during scans after).
