when you click the request in the indicator menu it should go away and show you
the "reject/accept" dialog

empathyindicator menus dont work when
Exactly Piotr. several programms seem to crash when you leave your
computer alone for a while and then come back and want to use it again.
It's probably connected to the screenlock programm.

I installed the classic gnome-session-fallback and it looks pretty much
like the old 10.04 Desktop but there are two major problems. The
"Application" and "Places" menu fonts are to dark (i did not use any
theming that i know of) and I'm unable to remove Application starters

When I install the package "kubuntu-desktop" on a freshly installed
12.04 and log into Unity afterwards the contact list tooltip colors in
empathy are changed to white text and light grey background.
The text can barely be read and I dont know how to fix this.

When I get a message from a contact (in this case a jabber contact i
addet on my gmail account) The Indicator shows my username instead of
the contacts name that wrote the message.
I try to reproduce it with different contacts from other messaging
services as soon as possible

seems to be some theming issue. I have used Gnome3 on my 11.10 machine
and upgraded to 12.04 and reverted to the default ambiance theme. same
problem without KDE.

It is definately reproducable.
Specific steps are:
1) log into a default ubuntu installation
2) install "kubuntu-desktop" with all depencies
3) after you restart empathy it uses the QT UI from the package
"kde-telepathy-text-ui" that was installed as depency
4) when you uninstall "kde-telepathy-

its just there and not really reproducable however if you dont have the
issue on a fresh install it could be related to backed up empathy
accounts.
I used deja dup on the fresh install to restore my settings

I found the duplicate bug and seen that it already has been fixed but
you need to switch themes and then switch back to see that it was fixed.
can you include some automatic "reload" so that normal users dont
its half-way fixed...
you need to switch to another GTK theme with gnome-tweak-tool and then
switch back to ambiance to solve the problem. there definately needs to
be some automatic reload added to solve the problem for people that used
light-themes and had the problem before the issue was fixed.
as i recommended if its possible put it in the /etc/alternatives I did
not see anything there that matches telepathy and the kubuntu-desktop
install also did not tell me whether i want to use the empathy or KDE
