Tried to see if the power plugin is causing it. So did as follows: Disabled the plugin, quit Rhythmbox Restarted Rhythmbox and enabled plugin. Now suspend is working normally again. so no more error. So to summarize: Power manager plugin is enabled. Changed playback to crossfade, error when trying
