Is this fixed in the current Ubuntu 19.10? I just installed Ubuntu 19.10
last week and I have encountered gnome freezing several times already.
Not sure if it's the same issue as this one or should I file a new bug.

black automatically), my status is set automatically to "Away".

When my MSN contact leaves offline messages for me,
I can only receive one after I login.
I have to logout and login again to see the next offline message, and again and
again to see all of the offline messages.
