In maverick I have had this bug happen to me on several occasions on boot up.
logging out and logging back in fixes the problem.
I have noticed this only happens to me after updating but only after an update
where it say ureadahead will be re-profiled at next
boot up . Since noticing this every
I had this problem every time I clicked on the applet. Just did an upgrade an
hour ago that seems to have fixed the problem.
I have rebooted the machine several times and have not had had gnome freeze
once.
