I can confirm this behavior.
It happens randomly on my side. I can't really think of a way to trigger this.
Right now totem sits in the background eating 100% of one of my cpu cores and
has Uninterruptible status. Can't stop it, can't kill it. All I know is that it
happens when I try to close it.
Hello,
Porntape, thanks for joining the discussion. I can't remember which file
exactly I was playing at that time, but I have no files named with non-english
characters and my OS lang is english. The only characters that could get

Well, that was on dapper. I haven't tried this on edgy yet, but I guess it
could get upstream fix in the new gnome release.
I'll check it soon and post the results.

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
Hello there again :-)
I have another bug report for you. I've just connected my USB pendrive, copied
a relatively small file (about 15MB) to it - copying dialog didn't show up (the
pendrive is pretty fast - 12MB/s write speed), so
I can confirm this for Dapper.
There is a very easy workaround for this until it gets resolved: use alt-tab to
switch between programs.

I can confirm this on Edgy.
I'd even say there should be some kind of a browser for detected plugins
(AbiWord can load all plugins at startup, why not just make a list of available
plugins to choose from?)
There's also another related problem - AbiWord doesn't remember which plugins

Yeah, something's REALLY broken with passwords.
I have 3 imap accounts and 3 smtp accounts set up and every now and then (a few
times a day) evolution forgets the password and pops up the password dialog
with the 'remember' checkbox already checked.

I know both, but I know nothing about how hald works, where to look for part of
the code that may cause the problem, etc.
I'll try to get familiar with the code, but it requires a lot of time.
By the way, I've checked a different driver (the one from ralink site) and it's

I think this may be actually a bug in ralink driver. I've checked with
PCMCIA ralink-based card and get the same results - NetworkManager
thinks it's a wired interface, and there's no entry in
/proc/net/wireless. An atheros-based card works pretty well.
