I can confirm this, but I'm not sure if this is a bug or if that's the
way it's supposed to be. I think you can get the desired effect by
tweaking the "Put display to sleep when inactive for:" in "Power
management".

I am having similar issues both on 11.04 and in 11.10 (in VirtualBox).
In 11.04 i get the following error message: "Playlist error: The playlist
