I want underlie that this bug cause apparently the freeze of the
window when in a program a coders call these function:
gtk_widget_input_shape_combine_mask
gtk_widget_shape_combine_mask
gdk_window_input_shape_combine_mask

And then it is possible that other bugs in oth
It is very strange, so do I am a coder and I have written
some gtk applications on ubuntu 9.10 that use
the on_motion_notify_event
and they work fine for me on a amd64 machine

I do not know the ubuntu policy about close the bug, but
the bug exists in lucid now
infact the gtk+2.0 2.20.1-0ubuntu1
that fix the bug is in the proposed lucid-updates but not
in the lucid packages

Hi I have seen that in maverick this line in the /usr/bin/startlubuntu
#Workaround to disable rgba, because lxpanel in Lubuntu doesn't support it

This create a lot of problem in all the applcation that use the alpha channel,
such as my program c
Deleting the export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 in /usr/bin/startlubuntu
now I am not able to reproduce the bug. I don't know if the problem is fixed
without the workaround also or if it doesn't occur on my laptop
