The crash only occurs when closing GIMP with an open unsaved image and
selecting 'Discard'. If all images are closed first, GIMP can be closed
normally.

Yes I think you are right, same bug.
The thing is, I do actually need colour profiles because I calibrate my
monitors, and Shotwell does actually display correctly. So removing the
profiles isn't an option for me, and if I want to quickly preview an
image or look through photos, eog is just a bit
