I am also affected by this issue, since I log in by using fingerprint
authentication. Why doesn't the keyring daemon ask for a password when
it is not unlocked? That is clearly a bug since Lucid for me.

You might want to check a patch taken from upstream (not yet in a stable
release) that fixes a similar problem:

At least it seems to fix a similar problem for us in PLD Linux.

I can confirm this within Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US;

is for Oracular (24.10). If you want to manually install deb packages,
you need to download the 1.54 version - the same as available in the
24.04
