good, g-p-m is good choice
i think, it's impossible to fix user config during upgrade, but just change
default behaviour. we can't/shouldn't change user (or all computer users)

i think that is good idea to mark it as deprecated. it's not good to
support both applets, but only newest. there is no reason to use the
oldest one

confirming on dapper, i think this is security problem. screensaver is
going to be activated, it's fade out to dark and after some time fade in
back. so, if enigma is running, screen is not going to be locked after
choosen time.

Thanks for your bug report. Do you have problem with double clicking only in
Nautilus, or it's not working everywhere?
Can you past content of file /etc/X11/xorg.conf please?
Do you tried to setup double click interval in System->Preferences->Mouse?

Thanks for your bug report. I think this could be date/time related. Fo
example if you change your time too much forward, screensaver is
automaticly activated, or dpmi, etc. Can you try to hibernate your
computer with terminal opened and try to run any application "by hand"?
Try to run 'date' too,
Ok. Please try disable NTP time synchronizing, or just disconnect your
pc from internet. Then try to hibernate your computer, maybe your
problem with screenlocking disappear.
Can you 'strace' any application that can be runned after hibernating?

ok, good. it's trying to open ICE-unix socket, and read from them. ICE socket
is created by ICElib, which is part of GNOME. So it's problem with gnome, and
un-hibernating of them. Can you examine your log files in /var/log/ and try to
find something interesting (of course after un-hibernate)?
r
oh, sorry ice is not part of gnome, it's x-session-manager work. so try
to do that ls, you will probably find 1 file with some number name. Try
to look for process with that pid ('ps axf | grep 123').
