Binary package hint: evolution
When a message includes attached images, Evolution displays, for each
image, a set of two buttons plus the name of the file. This appears
inside the message screen, after all the message content.

Unfortunately, I have to say that this is getting even stranger to
reproduce.
As I saw Pedro's request for examples, I went to the test messages I had
sent myself to use them as examples, but... none of them reproduced the
bug. I sent myself another one, and it worked fine as well. I then quit
Evo
... and please do let me know if there's anything else I could upload to
help.

This bug affects me -- Dell Vostro 1000. As with DanL, pressing Fn+Up
also makes volume go down.

Trying to fix something else (sound problems), I ended up partially
