Right now the resolution 1024x768 is the only one available, the display dirver
has been changed to i900 by a fix related to this bug:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-driver-rendition/+bug/26411
When I look in my xorg.conf the only resolution available there is 1024x768.

The calender in the gnome clock applet displays each event twice, the
events are displayed in the correct date and on the following date as
well.
Ie I have an event on 20060610 this will be shown in my calender on
20060610 and 20060611.

Yesterday I downloaded an mp3 file from my local church and listened to

Argh .. the timezone was not set in Evolution . so it used UTC ... I
corrected it and now everything works fine .. though I had to change my
appointments manually .. they all jumped ahead 2 hours.

I cant reproduce this bug anymore, I think it was my timezone which was
set wrongly in Evolution.

There is no way in the graphical GUI to disable to use of encryption for wifi
networks.
I had to manually run: sudo iwconfig eth0 essid myessid enc off
To disable it and connect to the unprotected wifi accesspoint.

Tried with adding my user to the group "disk", and adding a new line in
fstab with the group admin, then unmounted and mounted the partition,
but it did not work :(
