Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I'm not entirely certain that the bug is in gnome-panel, but that is
where it likely lies. Steps to hopefully reproduce the error in Ubuntu
7.04 Herd 5:
1) Right click time in panel and select "Preferences"
2) Set time display mode to Unix Ti

Could you hint at where the gconf key is? I've looked all over and can't
find it. What would be a more appropriate value, as I can't recall what
default was called? I had every intention of switching right back when I
looked to see seconds since Jan 1, 1970 :)
