Either way i dont think you need to write the whole story like this in a
bug report. Who cares what your girlfriend says, if she wants to go back
to windows, let her.

In Jaunty i still see the issue. Looks like openoffice does better
hinting but still not the same as the other gnome/qt apps.

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
While playing movies with totem(-gstreamer) the screensaver keeps
interrupting, which was not the case in edgy. Besides that, turning off
the screensaver also doesn't have effect. It's like after 15 minutes the
screen just turns off.

when i deinstall gnome-screensaver and replace it by xscreensaver, there
is no problem. So i think it must be something with gnome-screensaver.
When killing it, it also stops falling to standby. I run it in the
lastest feisty and never experienced the problem before.
