Actually, the ESC key doesn't work on browser mode with "folder buttons
path", you have to change folder to make the search box disappear.

It could be added under the "run in terminal" checkbox, and it would be
hidden/disabled for those

- remove an existing applet (say, the "show desktop" applet)

You could create the actual key in gconf by typing the following command
in terminal
gconftool --type bool -s /apps/epiphany/extensions/smart-
bookmarks/dictionarysearch/open_in_tab true
and voila! smart bookmarks in new tabs!
