I have a similar issue and since the bios smart utility isn't reporting
any errors, I prefer to simply rely on backups and not trust Palimpsest.
What I find particularly irritating about this is that I have no idea
what the utility is trying to tell me. Tiago's screenshot illustrates
this nicely.
Cleaning the ~/.nautilus directory doesn't work for me. However, I
always get to see desktop icons again when I start nautilus which
doesn't seem to be running after I log in.

Same here. I can add, though, that the kbdrate program still does its

Am I dreaming or is this all meaningless anyway because we lost the
"Appointments" control on the unfolded calendar widget? I can only see
bold days, but there no longer seems to be any way to figure out why
those days are bold. If you cannot view your appointments with the
calender applet anyway,
Sorry. I should have updated this earlier.
Yes, the bug is still present in Gutsy.

I have a vertical panel that contains two drawers. Neither of the
drawers will retain the sort order of the contained icons across
reboots. The only way to make it behave is by locking each of the items.

Hi.
I'm using edgy with all the latest updates. The panel reports version
2.16.1, don't know whether the drawer has its own version number and how
to see it.
It seems that the sorting is constant and different from the one I'd
like to see.
I'm attaching a screenshot of some quick tests I did on
Sure.
I still have to report that sort orders are not retained. I am now on
Feisty, the Panel reports version 2.18.1, but I can see no apparent
changes to the behavior described above.
