Interesting. I've done it twice now, and both times, when I pressed Save
to save the appointment, Evolution closed completely. Very annoying. Any
ideas why this would happen? Is it because I am modifying an
already-existing appointment?

I attached the backtrace to the bug. Hope this helps. To reproduce, I
simply create a calendar appointment and save it. Then, I open it back
up and attempt to make it a recurring appointment. As soon as I press
Save, it segs.

Note that the main window display of servers (on the right panel) does
not update properly, but I think this is another bug.

This doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. However, I did a restore from
a backed up address book, so that might have worked around it.

Following Dokuro's suggestion in #16 certainly helped. However, there
are still a LOT of screen weirdness issues. For example, it will draw
normally upon launch. However, moving the window to a new position will
cause the window to go mostly blank again. Starting a game will redraw
it, but while th

The problem here is that a system restoration was made from a backup,
and the two OS versions were different. In the process, the default
~/.gconf/apps/gnome-system-log/%gconf.xml file was overwritten with an
older version. Apparently, the 10.10 log files were named a little
differently. Not having
Downloaded iso for alpha 3. Used startup disk creator to install iso to
a USB drive. Booted from USB, selected the try without install option.
Connected to the internet. Opened software center to install
quadrapassel (since it was not already installed), and the install
failed, saying it couldn't f

By the way, I have been able to work around this:
1. Backup Evolution settings.
2. Export personal contacts to a .vcf file
3. Erase all personal contacts
4. Backup Evolution to a different file (i.e. "nocontacts.tar...")
5. Import the empty file
6. Import the .vcf file to the personal address book

Seems to be fixed in Dictionary 2.30.0. The fix seems to have been
implemented simply by changing the default name when the add button is
pressed.
