logged into GNOME for the first time (really, I think it was as soon as
the gnome-session started seahorse-agent) that user's gpg.conf was
edited to say:

Seahorse adds gpg.conf if it does not exist when seahorse-agent runs.
Seahorse's caching preferences set use-agent in gconf but not in the

KMail and Evolution *both* claim "bad passphrase" if I use
seahorse-agent inside KDE. Evolution additionally uses 98% CPU
gnome-keyring-daemon and ssh-agent share a purpose
seahorse-agent (s-a) and gpg-agent (g-a) share a purpose

Wait...I can't reproduce this in Intrepid.
If I do any of the following, the same window comes up:
- Right-click -> Sign
- "Sign" button on toolbar
- Right-click -> Properties -> Trust -> "Sign this Key"
That window asks how carefully the key has been checked. It does not
have any requirements o

O_O OK, I'm playing with that checkbox some more, and I'm still not sure
we're seeing the same thing, but I *am* seeing some odd behaviour in the
Sign/Revoke button. Every time I check/uncheck the checkbox, the
signature list appears for a moment and the button goes to "Revoke"
mode, then wait 2 s

Setting package back to network-manager since the upstream bug says the

I can view the Chinese just fine on my Hardy install. I thought maybe
having Japanese input methods installed had an effect, but 3 or 4 people
online who don't know any East-Asian languages (so no reason to have
fonts / input methods other than default) said they can't reproduce this

your login screen in the options to see if it's some uses-GNOME-but-
actually-custom thing as well.
