Is there any more info needed?
I already reseted gconf settings for both screensaver and power-manager

screensaver-command -a"), but it appears the idle time detec

Yep, that's right... Now the screensaver activates as expected.
Just DPMS doesn't work yet, but that may be a problem of gnome-power-manager

I'm also using Unity.
The problem seems a little bit random and I couldn't identify nothing in
the logs that justified it...
My GPU is an intel combined with a Nvidia 310m... I blacklisted nouveau
at first, but the problem still happens... I'm also not using nvidia
closed source driver...

It looks fixed for me too

That's true for me too. After deleting ~/.cache/tracker/ and issuing a
complete reindex the problem was solved.
But unfortunatelly evolution emails don't get indexed... And 0.93
doesn't index evolution emails also.

I have the same behavior in Hardy!
The laptop is an ASUS Z96J. Neither the slider that controls brightness
in AC mode works, nor the display is set to of (DPMS off) on timeout.
The light stays always on maximum...
The button shortcuts in the keyboard work nevertheless...

Now I have a problem...
I have an Asus Z96J and now the slider that controls brightness doesn't
work and also, the display never enters DPMS off with timeout. The
backlight always stays on...
The keyboard controls work, but gnome power-manager is completely wrong
in what related to the backlight.
same problem here.
I'm with gutsy...
While the main function of evolution is sending emails, actually being able to
categorize contacts is also a major feature... No one with a big contact list
would be very happy with this bug... Could this get a bit more attention? At

Isn't this bug a dupplicate of #135471?
The bug refered was fixed and the correction uploaded into gutsy-

A
It is already available in the gutsy-proposed repositories.
So you just have to enable them in synaptic and upgrade.
