I did that trash icon as a "tangoification" of the original human
design, so I think this bug should be filled against human icon theme.
I'd prefer to leave those "strategic" icons as similar as possible to
the human one while keeping tango style.

I think this is mostly a matter of taste. Tango guidelines do not define
any rule for shadows at the moment, when inkscape and rsvg will have a
working mask support things may change. For now I'd keep the shadows as
they are.

I see this a personal opinion, frankly speaking I like the arrows as they are.
That said I'll surelly consider contributed arrows, which follows the tango
guidelines (and tangerine colors).
Regarding irc I use to hang on #ubuntu-art, but I don't remember anyone
bringing up this argument, but I d

These are the original tango folder with different colors and some tweaking
here and there, which are not imported pngs, but pure svgs. Believe me we care
about shadows a lot and had a lot of discussions on the topic, but the current
solution is actually the best possible for the tools we use at

The icons in the add to panel dialog are cropped, you can see a missing
line on the right. The problem is visible on icons that fill the whole
canvas, as deskbar of weather applet for example.

Bruce, that's an icon abuse, the stock icons which are inluded in
tangerine icon themes, are the ones provided by gtk+, so I think the
problem is not related to the theme itselft.

The Alien Glow effect crop the image to the selected layer size. To
avoid cropping before applying alien glow make the layer you want the
effect to act on the same size as the image, to do this right click on
the layer in the layer pane and select "layer to image size".

I like Troy's icon, but it can be confused with screensaver icon
(especially the smaller versions) . I think a magic wand on a monitor

it doesn't seem like a tengerine bug, tangerine-icon-theme ships that
icon in 16x16, 22x22, 24x24, 32x32 and scalable (48x48) and looks like
gnome-system-monitor itself misrenders the icons. For example I can see
a (badly) scaled down system monitor icon, while that icon is provided
in all the size
