Upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic last autumn, where web browser 2.26.1 was able
to resolve file:// URLs. Now it is
web browser 2.28.0 and file:// is not working any more.
Was there a change in URL handling (extension, policy) without

* Tried epiphany file:// URL again
and found out:
file:///some-real-file.html does work
however
file:///some-directory does not
Try:
file:///usr/share/doc
Other hints to debug?
I've already installed a fresh copy of karmic in a ch

bad color
Same problem here (partly)!
I'm on a desktop with Samsung SyncMaster P2250 Monitor and on an older laptop
with fresh precise 12.04
installed.
The laptop is showing the picture as expected.
The desktop has the problem.
1) Only seen with eog. All of gimp, firefox, and shotwell show the
picture
Even more info:
The eog image properties show a small picture properly, where the displayed one
is broken.

Like Pedro suggested, I've installed Natty and tried again, same think.
In my use case it is really minor, not even annoying, it is just wrong
and may become a problem in other situations (programs query output
sink?)

workspace (e.g. sound preferences), the focus jumps to the other workspace into
the gnome-control-center.
BUT: Only if there is no application open on the workspace where the operation
is started.

values), it is not reflected in
gsettings org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-key-theme.
If it is set in "dconf-editor" or with gsettings, it is reflected (seen) in
