The same situation ocurrs when I use NFS and automount option.
When I am out of the local net where I share the directories it take too much
time,
and then it shows a blank windows.

I tried out some of Cody's scenarios on my installation and I was unable
to reproduce the intermittent window decorations. For me the window
decorations are consistently displayed.

Actually, after taking a screenshot, there are 5 pixels available for
resizing the window on any side. I don't see the point in this bug
anymore...maybe running some *really* big screen makes this hard but
under normal circumstances it should not be hard to hit 5 pixels.

of the interfaces you mention and then b) find out whether they are from
the same theme or whether the notification applet uses it's own icons.

I upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10. Evolution was working fine in 10.04,
but after the upgrade, the calendar, memo, tasks, and contacts conduits
were missing in the gnome-pilot settings. I need to get them back so
that I can keep my Treo 700P sync

Building on it being an SSD/race problem, I decided to add a delay
before gnome-settings-daemon would start. The relevant file that I
changed was /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-settings-daemon.desktop. I changed
the line:
Exec=/usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon
to this:
Exec=bash -c

Just got to say, I had this problem with Lubuntu - and it seems to be
solved if you wrap the usb cable around some ferrite - there may be
interference when a usb hard drive or other high emi device is plugged
in or activated that sends the hub into a state of panic. Might be worth
