I have a new KINGSTON 256 Gt USB stick that I'd like to format via
Nautilus, but nothing happened.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Plug the USB memory in
2) Open nautilus when USB memory mounts
3) Right-click on KINGSTON => Select "Format..."
4) Nothing happens

I let my 1-year-old child play with the login screen for ~5 minutes.
After hitting all kinds of keys (the sequence seemed to be very
complicated) we ended up with a black screen with mouse cursor only
slowly responding to mouse movement and lagging behind.

It seems that this bug was originally about Ubuntu 14.04.
I now tested that on Ubuntu 18.04 this works like it should. The
shutdown can be canceled and in addition there's an info text saying
that the machine will automatically shut down in 60 secs.

However, there's another usability issue: there's no progress dialog.
This means that there's no obvious way to cancel the copy process. I can
see only progress indicator in the launcher.

I think that this is an (UI?) issue in system-config-printer, because I
was now able to install the driver like this:
1) Start system-config-printer from terminal (I didn't test otherwise)
2) Select your printer from the list once detected and start installing the
gutenprint driver
3) Hit CTRL-C

but in my case I can select also "Gutenprint USB printer #2" instead of
"Canon MP160", which triggers the manual configuring flow.
