This doesn't happen in Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Edition and gnome-power-
manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 (tested with Asus eee 1001px).

I've tried to reproduce this bug without any luck using:
a. Ubuntu 10.10 NE - gnome-power-manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 - Asus eee 1001px
b. Ubuntu 10.04 32bits Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 -
Asus eee 1001px
c: Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0u

If I suspend my laptop (i.e. close lid), unplug it, and then open it
back up again, the gnome-power-manager fails to notice that it's now
unplugged. Plugging it back in, gnome-power-manager first shows a notice
that the
You can configure this behavior by doing the following:
1. Run gconf-editor
2. Go to >apps>gnome-power-manager>actions
3. Check the box next to event_when_closed_battery

tested with an Asus eee 1001px and Ubuntu 10.10 NE).
The same for Maverick (netbook edition at least). I think this is the
default behavior before gnome-power-manager kicks in with your settings
(where you can set it to just Blank the screen when you are on AC).

David, in the bug report I mentioned (#646377), some people claimed that
installing cdrdao (sudo apt-get install cdrdao) solves the problem.
Could you please check if this works for your particular situation?
Thanks in advance

Brasero appears at the Ubuntu Software Center by default (using a
default Ubuntu install CD, I don't know with Mythbuntu. If you can't
find it is probably because you don't have the appropriated software
