When user is logged in using Wayland, swipe-up gesture cannot be used to
summon the OSK. Problem is non-existent on Xorg.

use the OSK in many situatio

(https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/831)
We don’t intend to deviate from Canonical’s defaults for OEM projects
unless necessary, but want to make sure that all issues are resolved
when the defaults "are" Wayland.

Hi all, I made the regrettable mistake of logging the issue incorrectly;

Steps to reproduce on our end:
- Login (Xorg as default)
- Attempt to swipe up with finger from below screen
RESULT: It draws a thin vertical (desktop) selection box, but no OSK

It may be worth mentioning that we are unable to reproduce the error on
some more esoteric models like rugged machines.
One theory is that Xorg/GNOME may have different thresholds than Wayland
for detecting the swipe-up gesture and this may be impacted by the
particulars of how displays report tou

-Bluetooth mouse (Tested with a HP x4000b BT Laser Mouse) stops
responding after 1-2 days of being connected whereas the expectation is
that the mouse would continue working normally
