I've found a workaround (you probably know but just incase), completely
remove the top panel where the applets are, reboot (or restart desktop
environment), make a new panel and add everything back on it again
Isak - that is really only a workaround, since gvfs really should be
loaded before thunar starts, and not called after. XFCE is written
entirely in C, and unfortunately I am not yet skilled enough in the
language to be able to fix things. Perhaps it would be wiser to ship a
modified network.mount f
If you were fed up with updates etc. overwriting the file, you could
always add a script that overwrote the file on each boot - adding this
to /etc/rc.local would do it (before 'return 0':

This problem still occurs with the latest precise install, but the
workaround still works. You may have to re-apply it after updating -
some of the configuration files get overwritten by the updates.

Note: the only reason gnome-keyring-pkcs11.desktop has been marked as
'modified' is because I had to experiment with the file in order to find
the solution with this bug, but the file in the original state has been
reported as causing the problem.

Thanks for the quick response. The bug did not exist in Xubuntu 11.10,
as shown by the screenshot. When the config file is changed in Xubuntu
11.10 (to applications-education) the icon changes to an education icon,
perhaps taking it from another theme.
** Attachment added: "Screenshot illustrating
Even though the education icon may not be in the standard theme,
changing the config file does make it look better than having two,
duplicate 'accessories' style icons.
