Who are you asking? How would I tell? It feels like I've filed
half-a-dozen g-s-d crashes over the last week. I had a crash today with
3.1.5-0ubuntu6. Was it this one? Who can say?

I have my laptop plugged in to AC power. I want the screen to stay
bright while this is the case. However, my screen dims automatically if
I stop typing for about 10s.

CORRECTION. My earlier comment (no. 7), was made mistakenly. This bug
*only* occurs when I log in unplugged. When I log in plugged in, it
works.

I don't see this issue any more running g-s-d 3.1.91-0ubuntu2.
Definitely have restarted.

I just logged in after upgrading (apt-get upgrade, not apt-get dist-
upgrade). The panel at the top of the screen wasn't themed properly, it
looks default GNOME grey. Similarly, GNOME widgets have the default
(ugly) GNOME styling.

So it turns out that "Gnome Volume Manager" manages _disk_ volumes. I
should have said "Gnome Volume Controller", which is a part of gnome-
media, I believe.

box, I set all the "Sound playback" and "Sound capture" options to "USB
Audio". All sound now plays through my headset, which is good.
