Just had the same issue here. A reboot didn't fix it but as the OP
found, using strace, it was crashing when it couldn't find an icon.
Terminal.svg was missing but didn't solve it. In my case, it couldn't
find picard.xpm (a music tagger) and was aborting. It ran fine as root,
for whatever reason.
I'm also encountering this behavior. Just adding myself to the CC list,
as I'd like to be informed if there's a patch. Also, got any
workarounds via some tag cleaner tool or something?

Sometimes it will happen when moving with as few as 100 files. But
generally it is with folders with higher file counts.

I think this is part of a larger problem. My chat logs are no longer
getting saved, either.
syslog shows these messages when I try to add a favorite or when i
send/receive a message, respectively:

I now think this may be due to the fact that I keep my /home/jay/.local
directory as a symlink to /var/jay/.local on my SSD. This didn't used to
be a problem in Natty, so I don't know what changed.

1) Open a terminal, dconf-editor, and the Sound Configuration window.
2) Navigate to org.gnome.desktop.sound in dconf-editor. The value for the key
named "theme-name" should be "ubuntu"
3) In the terminal, run the command:
/usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play

In Oneiric, very few system sounds play. I hear button-clicking sounds
if I have those on, and there is a small "beep" when Thunderbird gets a
new mail, and IM sounds from Empathy work. But more general, system-wide
sounds a

adding "owner /var/jay/.local/share/telepathy*/ rw," and the like to
my /etc/apparmor.d/usr.lib.telepathy file, then
